Hey guys, so I’ve finally finished building the shop on my website to replace the crowdfunding campaign which unfortunately went south . . .
I managed to gain a nice bit of momentum when I launched the campaign a few weeks back, but as you all know, Pledge Music have since suspended all active campaigns.
As of right now, I have officially launched the pre-orders of my upcoming release ‘God Games EP’, independently through my Official Website. 😁
I really hope I can still count on your support. I can’t wait to share this new music with you all !
Here is the new link to the pre-orders.
You can check out my previous work on Spotify , Deezer, AppleMusic and all other major digital streaming platforms .
In light of this statement that I received on 7th February 2019 from ‘Pledge Music’ (see segment below) …
“…we have decided that it would be appropriate to suspend Pledging on all active campaigns until further notice.
Sincerely Pledge Music “
I have received no additional advice or assurances from them. As a consequence of this companies’ actions and the resulting bad publicity, I feel that the negative impact of all this upon my own crowdfunder, now leaves me no option but to CANCEL my recent campaign. As you may imagine this is hugely disheartening, having put weeks of time and effort into building this campaign. 😭
However, please do not lose faith in me, the artist; as it is the company that have let us down. Be assured, that I will honour the pledges made so far and that all my supporters can expect to receive their pre-orders by the time of the ‘GOD GAMES EP’ launch at the end of April. 🎶
As an alternative, I am working hard on building a shop section on my website and will be re directing all pre – orders to it. I am expecting to have this up and running within the next 2 weeks.
Watch this space for any status updates regarding the project.
Please consider supporting my next record ‘God Games’ and help the dream to become a reality.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Fintan McKahey, a 23 year old singer-songwriter, based on the Atlantic coast of West Cork, Ireland. My latest work, ‘God Games’ will be a 6 track EP, in the psychedelic folk genre. I have been immersed in this current project for the past eighteen months, exploring collaborations with other artists, that have inspired me to develop my music down new pathways.
(You can listen to my first EP ‘Two Lifetimes Late’ on my website: fintanmckahey.com, Spotify or ITunes.)
These new songs are now recorded and I was able to underwrite the studio costs myself but in order to complete their creation, I need your help.
All funds raised will go towards: Mixing/ Mastering Cover Artwork Pressing of the record Distribution (Digital & hard copies)
If you are interested to hear more of my music, I should be thrilled if you choose to join me on this exciting journey.
There are a range of products for each donation made.
The record will be released in the Spring of 2019, with updates and extras along the way.
Kicked off December with a bang last night. Whelan’s Live saw the 4 of us take their show in a different direction with a full band. Fintan McKahey opened the night showcasing some new material. Great evening all round.
It seemed as though we really stepped into winter last Thursday as the wind howled and the rain poured down from above… But it certainly didn’t stop a magical night of music in DeBarra’s Folk Club. Photos by Richie Tyndall.
Out now on all digital platform, iTunes, Spotify etc.
Here is the latest track from Fintan McKahey to celebrate summers end & #Samhain festivities… ‘Amicable Ambience’ is an old song that has been played live over the years but never been released as a studio version. The track features Corks own ‘Darren Jennings’ on drums and ‘Aaron O’sullivan’ creeps in for a solo, to seal the deal. Also to go with it, here are some psychedelic visuals from Kate Bean Photography.
Here is a teaser for the new documentary ‘Fintan: Genesis of an Artist’, a film by S.H.Bean. The film premiered at ‘Dublin International Short Film & Music Festival’. There will be screening at The Kino, Cork on Friday, 19th October.
